We strive to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA and relevant Croatian and EU accessibility legislation (Directive (EU) 2016/2102).
2. Accessibility Measures Implemented
To achieve and maintain accessibility we have taken, among others, the following steps:
Area | Implementation |
Screen‑reader compatibility | Semantic HTML5 landmarks; ARIA labels for dynamic components; alt‑text for all non‑text content |
Keyboard navigation | Logical tab order; visible focus states; skip‑to‑content links |
Colour & contrast | Minimum contrast ratio 4.5:1; colour‑independent cues (icons + text) |
Text & typography | Responsive fonts with relative units (rem/%) and user‑scalable text; headings in hierarchical order |
Forms & controls | Associated <label> elements; descriptive error messages; validation that does not rely on colour alone |
Media alternatives | Closed captions and/or transcripts for videos; descriptive captions for images |
Performance | Lightweight code, lazy‑loading images, to support assistive‑technology users on slower connections |
