4 Wheels Adventures – Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 1 July 2025

1. Our Commitment

4 Wheels Adventures d.o.o. ("4WA", "we", "us", "our") is committed to ensuring that our website www.4wheeladventures.com.hr is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities.
We strive to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA and relevant Croatian and EU accessibility legislation (Directive (EU) 2016/2102).

2. Accessibility Measures Implemented

To achieve and maintain accessibility we have taken, among others, the following steps:

Area

Implementation

Screen‑reader compatibility

Semantic HTML5 landmarks; ARIA labels for dynamic components; alt‑text for all non‑text content

Keyboard navigation

Logical tab order; visible focus states; skip‑to‑content links

Colour & contrast

Minimum contrast ratio 4.5:1; colour‑independent cues (icons + text)

Text & typography

Responsive fonts with relative units (rem/%) and user‑scalable text; headings in hierarchical order

Forms & controls

Associated <label> elements; descriptive error messages; validation that does not rely on colour alone

Media alternatives

Closed captions and/or transcripts for videos; descriptive captions for images

Performance

Lightweight code, lazy‑loading images, to support assistive‑technology users on slower connections

3. Conformance Status

Our target conformance level is WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
Independent audits (June 2025) show that most pages meet this level.
We are actively working to fix minor non‑conformities (see §6).

4. Compatibility With Browsers & Assistive Technology

The Website is designed to be compatible with:

  • Major desktop browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) released in the last 3 years
  • Mobile browsers on iOS 14+ and Android 12+
  • Screen‑reader combinations tested: NVDA 2024/Chrome 125, JAWS 2024/Edge 125, VoiceOver/macOS 14

We do not guarantee full functionality on browsers older than three years, embedded browser views in social‑media apps, or beta versions.

5. Feedback & Assistance

If you encounter a barrier or need information in an alternative format, please contact us wia website.

We aim to acknowledge feedback within 48 hours and resolve issues within 10 business days where feasible.

6. Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, certain content may not yet be fully accessible:

  1. Legacy PDF brochures uploaded before 2025 may lack proper tagging.
  2. User‑generated photo galleries could contain images without descriptive alt‑text.
  3. Third‑party booking widget: Keyboard trapping reported on the date‑picker in Safari 15.

We are working with our developers and suppliers to rectify these issues.
If you cannot access specific content, contact us (see §5) and we will provide the information by alternative means.

7. Continuous Improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing process.

We perform:

  • Quarterly automated scans (axe‑core, WAVE) and manual keyboard tests
  • Annual external WCAG audit
  • Staff training on accessible content creation

Action plans are reviewed after each audit, and progress is published on this page.

8. Enforcement Procedure

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Croatian authority responsible for digital accessibility:
